A warm and comforting baked dish featuring cottage cheese, apples, and cinnamon, perfect for breakfast or a healthy dessert.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cottage cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup apple sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup (or honey)
  • 1 cup diced apples
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • Optional: Chopped nuts, Additional apple slices, Yogurt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the cottage cheese, eggs, rolled oats, apple sauce, cinnamon, maple syrup, diced apples, baking powder, and a pinch of salt in a mixing bowl. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Grease a baking dish (8×8-inch or similar) to prevent sticking.
  4. Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish and smooth the top with a spatula.
  5. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is set and slightly golden.
  6. Cool briefly before slicing and serve warm with optional toppings.

Notes

Serve warm for breakfast with yogurt or as a healthy dessert. The bake can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for ease.
