Delicious chocolate hazelnut cookies with a buttery dough, chopped hazelnuts, and ribbons of chocolate-hazelnut spread.

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate hazelnut spread (Nutella)
  • 1 cup chopped hazelnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually add the dry mix to the wet mixture, folding until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate hazelnut spread and chopped hazelnuts until evenly mixed.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes, rotating pans halfway through, until edges are lightly golden.
  9. Cool for 3–5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
