  • 40 Saltine crackers
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, and arrange the Saltine crackers in a single layer.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and brown sugar together, stirring until it comes to a boil. Allow it to boil for about 3 minutes without stirring.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Pour the mixture evenly over the Saltines.
  5. Bake in the oven for 5-7 minutes, or until bubbly.
  6. Remove from the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the top. Let it sit for a few minutes until the chocolate is melted, then spread it evenly.
  7. In a small bowl, mix the cinnamon and granulated sugar together, then sprinkle it over the chocolate layer.
  8. Allow it to cool completely before breaking into pieces and serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Can be frozen for up to a month.
