Ingredients
Scale
0.33 cup protein powder (32g, any flavor)
0.25 cup flour (35g, all-purpose)
1 teaspoon baking powder
0.125 teaspoon salt
0.5 cup water
0.25 cup egg whites (or additional water)
0.25 cup Greek yogurt (or applesauce)
2 tablespoons sweetener (of choice)
2 teaspoons oil (optional for crispy waffles)
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together your dry ingredients – protein powder, flour, baking powder, and salt.
Stir in the wet ingredients – water, egg whites, Greek yogurt (or applesauce), and sweetener – to form a smooth batter.
Adjust the consistency as needed, adding water one tablespoon at a time until you reach a pancake-like batter.
Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions, making sure to grease it well with nonstick cooking spray.
Pour the batter into the center of the waffle iron, close it up, and cook according to your waffle maker’s directions until the waffle is golden and crispy.
Remember to re-grease the iron between batches to prevent sticking.
Notes
For crispy waffles, add oil to your batter and ensure the waffle iron preheats fully.
