A quick and flavorful skillet dish featuring ground chicken in a sweet and spicy honey-sriracha sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ginger powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Cooked rice or cauliflower rice
  • Chopped green onions (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat the skillet and oil: Warm 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering but not smoking.
  2. Brown the ground chicken: Add 1 pound ground chicken and break it up with a spatula. Cook until browned and no longer pink, about 5–7 minutes.
  3. Mix the sauce: While the chicken cooks, combine 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon sriracha, 1 tablespoon honey, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon ginger powder, and salt and pepper to taste in a small bowl.
  4. Combine sauce and chicken: Pour the sauce over the browned chicken and stir well to coat every piece.
  5. Let flavors meld: Cook for an additional 3–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce reduces slightly and clings to the chicken.
  6. Serve: Spoon the firecracker chicken over cooked rice or cauliflower rice.
  7. Garnish and enjoy: Top with chopped green onions if desired and serve hot.

Notes

Adjust sriracha to taste for a milder dish. Great for meal prep and can be served with various sides.
