Delicious and nutritious protein powder waffles, perfect for a healthy breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 39 g protein powder (about ½ cup; Premiere Protein recommended)
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tablespoons plain Greek yogurt or sour cream (45g; full fat preferred)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  1. Heat your waffle iron on medium and spray both plates with cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the protein powder, baking powder, and salt together until combined.
  3. Stir in the egg and Greek yogurt, mixing until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter onto the bottom plate until it covers about ¾ of the surface.
  5. Close the waffle iron and cook until thoroughly done, adjusting cooking time for desired crispiness.
  6. Serve immediately with butter and sugar-free syrup or your favorite toppings.

Notes

For added flavor, consider a splash of vanilla extract or a pinch of cinnamon in the batter. Try different protein powder flavors for variety.
