  • 4 cups frozen corn kernels
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices cooked bacon (crumbled)
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 0.25 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon until crispy, crumble it and set aside.
  2. If not shredded, shred the cheddar cheese.
  3. In a slow cooker, combine frozen corn, cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, heavy cream, melted butter, garlic powder, and paprika.
  4. Stir until well combined.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
  7. Garnish with parsley or chives if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor depth, consider using bacon grease in place of butter. Mix in other cheeses for contrasting flavors.
