Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef (80/20 recommended)
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (bell peppers, broccoli, carrots, snap peas)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili sauce (Sriracha or sambal oelek)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add vegetable oil and swirl to coat.
  2. Add ground beef. Let it sit for 20–30 seconds to brown, then break it apart. Cook for 5–7 minutes until browned.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and ginger. Cook for 30–60 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add mixed vegetables. Stir-fry for 5–7 minutes until tender-crisp.
  5. Pour in soy sauce and chili sauce. Toss everything to coat evenly and cook for another 1–2 minutes.
  6. Taste and season with salt and pepper as needed. Serve over cooked rice or noodles.

Notes

Ground beef should reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C). Add a splash of rice vinegar or a teaspoon of brown sugar to the sauce for added balance.
